Merry Christmas To All!

Hello, dear friends. It’s been quite awhile since I last posted and I have missed you all so much.
I experienced a few health issues over the last few months and after many tests, it was determined that I needed a particular course of treatment that began right before Thanksgiving and ended last week. For the past three weeks I haven’t had my usual energy so it feels like I’ve been doing everything in slow motion – wrapping a few gifts each day, decorating the house for Christmas in one hour spurts and making pancakes and French toast and freezing it for Christmas morning breakfast.

Anyway, I’m feeling better everyday and I’m anticipating that I’ll feel like my old self again in another 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, I plan on enjoying every minute of the holidays! Christmas Eve and Christmas Day spent with family, eating all the foods I don’t usually eat (oh, yes, anything and everything containing sugar) and maybe some walks through the neighborhood enjoying the warm weather we’ve been experiencing. It’s actually going up to 70 today, 12/24/15 , in upstate NY! I’m looking forward to it all.

And to you, my friends, I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas. May the peace, beauty and joy of this season bless all of you.

    I pray you are feeling better with each and ever day, it’s so hard to be ‘down for the count’ during the holidays when we want to do so much. Still, your home looks very festive and pretty.

      LOL we definitely think alike, Jane. Of all times of the year to have to be “resting” – I found out though, that you can still accomplish quite a bit without killing yourself. I hope you’re enjoying all things Christmas this week with your family. And I’m going to remind you – sit down and relax, everything doesn’t have to be perfect all the time.     Oh my gosh… I am so sorry that you’ve been under the weather but am happy that they found something to help you out. I pray that it is only temporary and very soon you will be back to your fantastic self. I love all the nic nacks you have all around the place so sweet.

    I am so sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. Take care of yourself. Of course your post with all your lovely decorations and yummy food has made my day. I have been snowed in a couple of times, but I just sit and enjoy the beauty of it all. I should be cleaning but…..the snow is so lovely. At least that’s my excuse this week. :-)

      Hi Sharon- I can always find a reason why I shouldn’t be cleaning! I’m very easily distracted. I hope you’re enjoying your snow days – nothing more than a dusting here and temps ranging from the sixties down to the 20’s.       The French toast freezes so well – the pancakes too. It’s nice to be able to take a few pieces out at a time for a quick, delicious breakfast. Hope all is well with you and wishing you a very Happy New Year. xo
