Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter as well, Susan! I enjoyed your yummy looking market adventure post and your gratitude journal post, too. When I was growing up in the midwest, lo those many years ago, I do not remember ever having tried an avocado and now I can purchase them year round…amazing! However it is a special treat to be able to shop for fresh, local organic food…like I remember picking from my parent’s garden in my childhood :) When I first started blogging one of the blogs I read promoted keeping a gratitude journal and I decided to finally use a handmade journal a friend had given me, but I was fearful of messing up. I filled the pages with lists of things I was thankful for and colored some little illustrations , took photos of the results and posted them on my blog. I was sorry when the pages of the journal were all filled and I miss the the healthy discipline of noting my gratitude regularly. Thanks for prompting us to consider starting such a journal! xx

Hi Gracie – So nice to hear from you. I remember the wonderful garden my parents grew too. It was a small garden but always had a bumper crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers and string beans. Thanks for reminding me of those wonderful memories.

I have no idea, Jan. It was at the local French bakery. I went to take a photo of the pastries and the owner insisted I take a photo of the Easter cake instead.
