They’re doing it again! Deepak and Oprah have teamed up one more time to give us a free, 21 day meditation series entitled “Hope In Uncertain Times.” The purpose is “to eradicate fear and doubt and find a renewed sense of trust and optimism about your life and the world around you.” Now, I don’t know about you, but, I think this sounds like a great idea – something that could benefit all of us.
The series begins April 10th. Just go to www.chopra.com to sign up and get a free
workbook to download. I love to meditate first thing in the morning, but you can do it whenever you have the time. Each one is about 20 minutes and I can tell you from experience, it’s a great way to start your day. It centers you and brings a sense of calm that you carry with you throughout your day.
So, do something nice for yourself – sign up and give it a shot. It can’t hurt to try something that will make you feel better. For those of you who already practice meditation, you know what I’m talking about.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.
Susan
XOXO
I’ve done a few of them and you are right, really makes a difference! Thanks for the heads up, going to sign up now
I think they’re wonderful, Laura. When I finish, I always feel so peaceful. If I could only remember not to turn the news on when I’m finished, I’d be in really good shape. LOL xoxo
I love the idea of meditating, but do not practice it. I envy those that can do it easily. For me, my mind is always going this way and that and it’s difficult. My cure for the blues is a bubble bath :). I suppose that’s a form of meditating? lol
A bubble bath would do the trick too, Doreen – followed by a glass of wine. xo
I love your photo. I’ve been trying to trust that we are all where we’re supposed to be and that my Higher Power has my back. I also think it’s inevitable that things are going to get much worse before they get better. Just my opinion. One day at a time is how I try to live. I love Deepak and Oprah. I hope they’re not bringing politics into this. : (
Thanks for sharing this. I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday!! xo
~ Wendy
Thank you, Wendy. I’m quite sure that Oprah and Deepak won’t be bringing politics into their meditations – that would defeat the purpose. I think it’s just made to help us cope better with whatever is going on in and around our lives right now. I’m all for anything that gives a feeling of optimism.
Right now, I’m just enjoying this beautiful, sunshine-y day. So glad we didn’t get the snow they were predicting
yesterday. xo
ohmygoodness.
thank you. I will definitely sign up.
I have read many of his books. but I didn’t know of this.
and with the world right now… it’s definitely a good thing to be doing. xo
That’s what I thought, Tammy. And, it really doesn’t require any work on our part. Just taking deep breaths and listening to his soothing voice is enough to make you feel better.
Hope all is well with you. xo
Thanks for the heads up! These sure are uncertain times….in so many ways. A little peace would do a world of good right about now.
That’s how I feel, Julie. Meditating always makes me feel so much better.
Hi Susan. I signed up and am giving it a try! Thanks for the tip. Have a great week!
Oh, I’m so glad you signed up, Cindy. I like knowing that we’ll all be doing this together.
Maybe collectively, we can send out a positive vibe.
Thanks for the reminder, Susan. I always do them…and now my kids are hooked, too. I try to get my husband to participate, but he just falls asleep. Haha!!
I don’t think my husband will be participating either, Kim. He’d last about 5 minutes! xo
I’ve meditated off and on for a few years, but honestly I like Doreen’s idea better 😉
Glad you survived the storm!
rue
I love Doreen’s suggestion too, Rue. I think meditation comes in many forms. Taking my morning coffee out on the porch in warmer weather, listening to the birds feels like meditation too because it has the same, peaceful, calming effect. Whatever works for you.
